CARE Pharmacies held its annual member meeting at the Fairfield Marriott Washington Dulles in Chantilly, Virginia on January 26, 2018. We were pleased to be joined by CARE Pharmacy members and their representatives from across the country; as well as, 43 of CARE’s preferred partners.
The meeting theme was “Engage Change”, attendees participated in a variety of breakout sessions aimed at improving patient outcomes and improving profitability. CARE owners enjoyed catching up with their peers and sharing best business practices. Doug Sandler, whose bestselling business book, “Nice Guys Finish First”, presented during the Saturday night formal dinner, which was sponsored by McKesson Corporation.
On Sunday, CARE hosted its annual business meeting which highlighted a multitude of achievements to include: record sales, record patronage distributions, record rebates, and being named a Hot100 retailer for 2017.
CARE also elected its new Board of Directors for 2018. This included the addition of Avani Sheth and Christine Lee along with the reelection of Officer Paul Vitale. Dr. Michael Kim was subsequently elected Chairman of the Board of Directors, with Jake Olson serving as the Vice Chair, Paul Vitale being named Treasurer, and Kate Pelletieri being selected as the Secretary. Mr. David Posner was also recognized for his exemplary service to the Board of Directors for 2017.
