CARE Pharmacies hosted its annual member meeting at the Williamsburg Lodge in Williamsburg, VA on February 3, 2017. We were pleased to be joined by CARE Pharmacy owners from more than 9 states and representatives of more than 40 Pharmacies and 36 Preferred Providers.
The meeting theme was “Revolutionary Thinking,” and attendees enjoyed many collaborative breakout sessions, had a chance to relax, catch up, meet peers, and share creative business practices. Attendees were also invited to attend a formal dinner sponsored by McKesson Corporation on Saturday night, with an historical address by keynote speaker President Thomas Jefferson.
On Sunday, CARE hosted its annual business meeting which highlighted a multitude of achievements to include: record sales, record patronage distributions, record rebates, being named a Hot100 retailer, and the finalization of a new Prime Vendor distribution contract.
CARE also elected its new Board of Directors for 2017. This included the addition of Kate Pelletieri, along with the reelection of Officers Jeff Dunn, Michael Cantrell, and Dr. Michael Kim. Dr. Michael Kim was subsequently elected Chairman of the Board of Directors, with Jake Olson serving as the Vice Chair, David Posner being named Treasurer, and Kate Pelletieri be selected as the Secretary.
Molly Carr and Merlyn Crandon were also recognized for their exemplary service to the Board of Directors for 2016.
