The National Community Pharmacist Association (NCPA) recently submitted comments to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in response to the FDA’s notice seeking input on standards for the interoperable exchange of information for the tracing of human, finished, prescription drugs, in paper or electronic format. NCPA stressed the importance that any FDA guidance must require secondary wholesalers to provide transaction history and transaction information to pharmacies in a single document. NCPA will remain engaged with FDA throughout the implementation process.
